Dr. Zhao Yi Jing is a certified neurologist trained in Singapore. Her expertise lies in headache conditions, including
those in adolescents and pregnancy, as well as stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, hemifacial spasm,
sleep-related issues, and other neurological conditions.
Dr. Zhao’s special interest centers around headache conditions in adults and adolescents. In 2018, she was
appointed as the clinical headache service lead at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She was also part of the
founding committee of the Headache Society of Singapore (HSS) in the same year, and presently holds the positions
of vice-president and treasurer within the HSS. She is also a member of the Asian Regional Consortium Headache
Society (ARCH), and has delivered talks at South-east Asia regional headache meetings and served on medical
advisory boards for new headache and migraine treatments.
Dr. Zhao has published research papers on headache conditions, including the latest advancements in novel CGRP
therapies for headaches and migraines. She was the Singapore Principal Investigator in numerous regional clinical
trials for novel headache treatments that utilize CGRP monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. Her extensive
range of talks covers topics such as adult headache medicine, vestibular migraine, headaches during pregnancy,
adolescent headaches, and novel emerging headache treatments. These talks have been presented at conferences
and healthcare institutions in Singapore, including SGH, Singhealth polyclinics, KKH, and Post-Graduate Allied Health
Professions.
She earned her medical degree from the National University of Singapore, obtaining an MBBS degree. Subsequently,
she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and was conferred with a Masters of Medicine by
the National University of Singapore (NUS). She was a neurology consultant at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH)
and the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). In addition to this, she served as a visiting Neurology Consultant at
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), and Changi General Hospital (CGH). Alongside her
clinical practice, she assumed roles as a clinical lecturer at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin
School of Medicine, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.
