Background

Dr SAMUEL NG ENG SOO is a Senior Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Director of Medi-Rad Associates Ltd. His main areas of interest are in Advanced Brain MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), PET-MRI, CTP (Computer Tomography Perfusion) and BMD (Bone Mineral Densitometry).

A graduate from the National University of Singapore, Dr. Ng obtained his post-graduate degree in radiology from the Royal College of Radiologists in UK. He completed his subspecialty training in Neuroradiology at the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University. He is also affiliated to the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. He has pioneered MRI research in  euroscience projects focusing on flow dynamics in the brain, language processing and mind mapping.

Dr. Ng has published in both local and international, high impact journals and is a speaker at regional and international conferences. He is a regular participant at the Radiologist’s Neuroimaging Faculty, the CT Perfusion Course as well as at the Annual Advanced Neuroimaging Course held by the National Neuroscience Institute.

He is a twice winner of the Best Annual Scientific Paper Award organised jointly by The Singapore Radiological Society and The Academy of Medicine. Dr Ng has been principal investigator/co-investigator in nationally funded neuroimaging grants.

Dr Ng has held academic and administrative appointments in several institutions, including Chairman, Chapter of Radiologists of the Academy of Medicine, in Singapore.

He is presently involved also in technology transfer efforts between Singapore and the surrounding region.
