Dr Mizan is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery. His practice ranges from joint preservation and sports injuries to joint replacement surgery. He is a pioneering surgeon in Singapore trained in the direct anterior approach (DAA) total hip replacement (THR) surgery. He is one of the key opinion leaders in the region for DAA THR and has run cadaveric courses as well as performed live surgeries in neighbouring countries. He continues to teach this procedure to the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons as a visiting consultant at both the Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital.

After graduating from King’s College London in 2005, Dr Mizan became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2009. He completed the vigorous orthopaedic training with SingHealth in 2015 to become a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of Edinburgh. He honed his subspecialty skills during his fellowship with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in 2017.

With more than 10 years of orthopaedic experience, Dr Mizan is well versed in a wide spectrum of orthopaedic conditions. He embraces new technology and evidence based practice to enhance the functional outcome for his patients.
