Background

Dr Lee Chin Piaw is a Consultant Eye Surgeon at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He was a Visiting Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre for 16 years and was previously a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Singapore General Hospital.

He received his MBBS from the University of Singapore (1977) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ophthalmology)(Glasgow)(1982), the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1987) and the Royal College of Ophthalmology (UK)(1989).

Dr Lee has been specializing in Refractive, Corneal and Cataract-Intraocular Lens Implant Surgery since the 1980s. He started Radial Keratotomy in the Singapore General Hospital in 1987. His Excimer Laser experience began with the arrival of the first Excimer Laser in Singapore in 1992, and he now routinely does LASIK surgery for spectacle errors.

He has a special interest in advanced techniques in Sutureless Phacoemulsification and Intraocular Lens Implants Surgery. His schedule includes regular Live Surgery demonstrations and speaking at various local and overseas Ophthalmology conferences.
