Background	Dr Irene Sim is a Dental Specialist in Endodontics with Specialist Dental Group®. She received her basic dental training and specialty training in Endodontics at the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining Specialist Dental Group®, Dr Sim was a Senior Registrar with National Dental Centre (NDC). During her time with NDC, she was awarded with the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Silver) (2011 – 2012) and was also nominated for the Singhealth Leadership training program and Singhealth Young! Publish Award (2016). She was also a lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic’s Diploma in Hygiene & Therapy (2013 – 2015). Dr Sim is a recipient of the ORH ACP Young Clinician Publication Award (2016) and one of her scientific publication that was published in the Journal of Endodontics, “Decision Making for Retention of Endodontically Treated Posterior Cracked Teeth: A 5-year Follow-up Study” was one of the top endodontic journals in February 2016. Dr Sim is a Fellow of the Acadamy of Medicine (Singapore), Member of the Society of Endodontists Singapore and Singapore Dental Association. She has a special interest in dental traumatology, revascularisation, apexification, non-vital bleaching & cracked teeth management.
