Background

Dr Gwee Hak Meng is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He was previously a Consultant and Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore.

He received his MBBS (1970) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine)(1974) at the University of Singapore. He was admitted as a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (1974) and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (1979) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1979).

Dr. Gwee was also the receipient of the Naffield Foundation Posstgraduate Scholarship to pursue training in endocrinology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School of London, Hammersmith Hospital in 1977/78. He was a visiting consultant to SGH, Ministry of Heath (1983-1990) and Part-time Lecturer, Department of Medicine NUS (1983-1993).
